“It’s easier to stay consistent than it is to keep stopping and starting again.”

These wise words from my beloved teacher, Dena Kingsberg, have echoed in my heart for decades—anchoring me through countless sunrises on the mat, in moments of devotion, discipline, and deep inner listening.

In the early years of my practice, before motherhood, I was blessed with the spaciousness of time. I poured it freely into my yoga journey—six days a week without fail—gathering golden threads of wisdom in the quiet repetition of Ashtanga. What I learned then still weaves through every breath, every class, every offering I now share with others.

From Devotion to Integration

Today, as a mother, mentor, teacher, and guide, my practice continues to evolve. It’s no longer about how long I stay on the mat—it’s about how fully I arrive.

It’s not about intensity, but intentionality.

I move to stay strong and stable.

To maintain postural integrity and honour the alignment of my spine.

To nourish my nervous system and create space in my body, mind, and heart.

My daily rhythm has distilled into a sacred 22-minute ritual. Eleven postures. Two minutes each. This simple, sustainable sequence leaves me feeling aligned, open, and deeply connected—without overstretching or overwhelming.

My Current Home Yoga Practice (4x a week):

 1. Malasana

 2. Seated lateral flexion (right)

 3. Seated lateral flexion (left)

 4. Pigeon pose (right) – turning the neck for a deeper release

 5. Pigeon pose (left)

 6. Reclined bound angle pose – bolster under mid-thoracic spine

 7. Reclined hamstring stretch (right) – holding opposite foot for added psoas and quad stretch

 8. Switch sides

 9. Supine twist (right) – knees bent

 10. Supine twist (left)

 11. Supported shoulder stand – sacrum resting on bolster

The Inner Ripple

When we show up for ourselves in this way—consistently and compassionately—we begin to feel good from the inside out.

And when we feel good, we’re more likely to treat others with kindness, thoughtfulness, and presence.

💔 “Hurt people hurt people.”

So many of us carry unspoken pain in our bodies and minds—and that pain often seeps outward, colouring how we speak, act, and relate.

But healing, real healing, begins with awareness. With presence. With practice.

Let’s be mindful of how we move through the world. Let’s return to ourselves again and again—softly, lovingly, with grace.

Teaching Others to Teach From Wholeness

When I facilitate Yoga Teacher Training, I don’t just teach asana. I guide people into their own healing, their own alignment, their own power.

Because the best teachers are not those who perform the most advanced poses—but those who embody what it means to live well, move well, and love well.

My trainings begin with the inner work.

We start by learning to care for ourselves—physically, emotionally, energetically. From this space of wholeness, our students emerge not just as instructors, but as vessels of transformation.

When the body feels free, when the heart is open, when the mind is still—teaching becomes a natural extension of living.

An Invitation

So wherever you are in your journey—whether you’re just starting or starting again—know this:

Every moment you spend tending to your wellbeing is a sacred act of service.

Not just for yourself, but for everyone you touch.

Stay consistent.

Stay curious.

Stay kind.

Your wellness has a ripple effect—let it be one of love.
