Essence of Living’s next evolution is to simplify & offer an even more enriching experience for the community.

With this being said it’s with a heavy heart & a bright future I will be closing my Mermaid Beach studio on June 30th after 19 years of loving service.

There have been many tears in this decision & many more to come as I have literally spent my entire adult life running this heart-driven business in the heart of Mermaid Beach.

However moving forward, I will be moving away from the daily operations & offerings at the Mermaid Beach studio & focusing on sharing my passion for education through my teacher training courses & forest retreat immersions at my new Tallebudgera Valley studio coming soon!

I have had a deep calling to spend more time in the valley where I live with my family & soak up the slower pace, enjoying the enriching & healing energy of nature & sharing my love for the forest with my students & friends alike.

I am studying forest therapies along with conservation & land management which I am passionate about sharing in my new training & retreat centre as a deepening & extension to my current offerings.

I will continue to offer all of my teacher trainings & forest immersions in the valley at my very near & dear family friends property whilst my new studio is getting ready for construction.

Growing up in Mermaid Beach it was natural to open Essence of Living in my backyard & share my passion for all things yoga & Pilates with my childhood community.

However, after living on the land for over 5 years now I want to move my offerings to where my heart now resides & share the serenity & tranquility of the forest with those I love to serve & support… YOU!

Essence has never felt like a business to me, more like a family made by conscious choice with life long friends cultivated & created along the way.

My teaching & administration team have been the heart beat of the business & without each & every soul over the last 19 years contributing to our community Essence wouldn’t be what it is today!

Each teacher & backend angel has poured their unwavering light, love & luminescent skills into the business taking Essence to higher & brighter levels of offerings & operations year on year.

I know how much these special souls have touched your heart as they have mine & I know this won’t be the end of the road but rather a new path to be shared together.

I will continue to offer my love for teaching Yoga & Pilates classes in the community from July 10th with my 18 year long partnership with GCCC Active & Healthy program.

Lastly, with my hand on my heart I want to emphasis it’s not good bye but rather, I look forward to seeing you in one of my new community classes & sharing my sacred space nestled in the trees surrounded by wildlife.

So between now & June 30th, I & my entire team would love to see you for our last month in the Mermaid Beach studio before we relocate from the highway to the hinterland.
