Release and Indemnity to the Recreational Activity Provider

In consideration of my application for participating in the education and activities provided by ESSENCE OF LIVING ACADEMY (in the extent that the same may be precluded by statue), I ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE TO RELEASE AND INDEMNIFY the education / recreational provider as follows:

I participate in the education / activity at my own risk and responsibility.
I release, indemnify and hold harmless the education / recreational activity provider, its servants and agents from and against all and actions or claims that may be made by me or on my behalf by other parties in respect of or occurring from any injury, loss, damage or death caused to me or my property whether by negligence, breach of contract or in any way whatsoever or any liability that results from the breach of an express or applied warrant that the education / recreational services or activity will be rendered with reasonable care or skill.
In the event that I am injured, or my property is damaged, I will bring no claim, legal or otherwise, against the Educational and Recreational Activity Provider in respect of the injury or damage.

By agreeing, I acknowledge that I have read and understood all content and know that it affects my legal rights.

25hr Roll & Release Course

The Essence of Living Roll & Release (25hr) Course provides two weeks dedicated to gaining a deeper understanding of anatomy and physiology and how to utilise trigger point balls and a yoga block to facilitate ‘myofascial release.’

This course is designed so that by the end you have enough understanding and confidence to run a ‘roll and release’ style class and/or incorporate this methodology into private sessions with your clients. This will build on your understanding gained through either a Yoga or Pilates teacher training courses, but is also open to general practitioners.

Begins 22nd June 2020!

COURSE OUTLINE

  • Breath work
  • Roll & Release classes
  • History, Breath work theory, Anatomy, Trigger Point Therapy
  • Ball Techniques, Sequencing, Special Considerations, Client Screening
  • Anatomy, Target muscle modifications, language & communication skills for healing, Written exam
  • Teaching assessment

ASSESSMENT

In order to equip you with the skills and knowledge necessary to be able to share the philosophy, there are a number of assessments required as a part of the course.

  • 6 x online modules to complete
  • 6 x online quizzes
  • Plan, prepare 1hr Roll & Release class
  • Create client screening form
  • 500 word reflective essay: The Roll Model by Jill Miller
  • 500 word reflective essay: Becoming a Supple Leopard by Kelly Starrett

WHAT TO EXPECT

During this 2-week delivery you will be given course content to read through and watch through every Monday in your email.

You will be given 6 modules in total to work through systematically step by step and at the end of each module you will have an assessment task to complete in order to unlock the next module.

  • Each Monday you will receive 3 modules to complete during the week.
  • Each Sunday 7pm (QLD Australia time) you will join Michelle & Alex on Zoom for a group Zoom Meeting (1-2hrs) to discuss the weeks content and to answer any questions that may come up. If you miss the meeting it will be recorded and sent to you via email.

Students will be eligible to receive a 25-hour certification upon completion of all course work. This certificate can be used towards a 300hr yoga teacher training or as continuous education credits.
